Halloween…SNEAK PEAK

Brin is a ladybug for her first halloween. We got her 3-6 month costume from Carters this summer on sale. I added wings to the back of her costume for that extra little cuteness. Here is a sneak peak…

First Rugby Tournament

Brin has gone to her 1st rugby tournament. Nick had a tournament in Milwaukee and we FINALLY got to take our baby to a tournament. For YEARS we have said…”maybe next year we’ll have a baby”…and now we got our turn!!! :)

We had a sports banquet in Chicago the evening we were leaving for the tournament. After the banquet, we loaded up in the car and drove to Milwaukee. The baby did really well & slept the whole way. Once we got there, we transported her to her bed and she slept right through. (We know we are SOOOOO lucky & we thank her EVERY DAY for being such a good baby!!!)

We spent Saturday and Sunday at the gym. On Saturday, Claudia and Alisha were able to make it to the gym to see a game. It was GREAT to finally get them out to a game and spend some time with them. We were hoping to see Alisha at the game on Sunday, but schedules were changed and she wasn’t able to make. We missed her, but hope to see them out again next year.

We spent all of our time with Kristin and the kids during the games. We feel very fortunate to have such a great relationship with the Sauber family. They are GREAT friends!

The Chicago team came in 3rd place in the tournament and Nick got an award as well. After the games we headed home…but we did make a pit stop at the Gap outlet. :) (JEANS!!!!!)

Growing up…

It seems like new things are happening with Brin on a daily basis. She can now hold her bottle on her own…although, now that she has done it a few times, she is refusing to do it again. She has taken that stance with rolling over as well. She knows how to roll over both ways…she just won’t…once she goes from tummy to back, she won’t go back. Hmmm…is that a clue to the future???

Girls trip to Tampa, FL

After our stay in Orlando, Brin and I made our way over to Tampa to meet up with some girls from work. We were originally going to arrive there on Friday and stay until Monday (Columbus Day) but since we were both feeling icky from the flu, we decided to stay in Orlando until Sunday morning. This allowed us a little more time to visit with family while we were healthy again.

My mom and Don drove to Kathleen’s condo in Tampa on Sunday and then they headed back home(to get to a Magic game)

Once there, we visited with Vicky, Betty & Kathleen (Debbie and Lisa were missed this year!) for a bit. About 4 o’clock we headed to the beach to put our feet in the ocean and have some dinner. We hung out on the coat until the sun set, did a little tourist browsing and headed back to the condo.

On Monday, we headed to the pool to catch a few rays before heading to the airport.

FLORIDA…October 2010

Brin & I had a wonderful visit in Florida. Here are a few pics from our trip. Uncle Chris L.O.V.E.S. me!!! Going on a walk with Papa Don. That Florida sun is H.O.T So I go in to check on her during her nap & this is what I found. It was too funny!Brin & Great Grandpa Smith at Jackie & Matt’s Engagement Party Jackie & Brin Don can put ANYBABY to sleep ANYTIME, ANYWHERE…it it AMAZING!!!   I laugh every time I see this picture. She fell asleep on Don’s lap but it looks like she is pouting. It’s too funny!

A great trip we had…other than the flu that hit the 2 of us right in the middle of the week. :( And Nick was at home with it for the entire week…YUCK!

A new toy…

Well…we have packed away the swing…:( and purchased an excersaucer for Brin. We felt like she was ready for more so just before our trip to Milwaukee we made a trip to Toys R Us to purchase an exersaucer. Here are some pictures from her 1st experience in her new toy. She just LOVES to be in it and I think that it has really helped with her core muscles. She will be sitting up VERY VERY soon!

Checking it all out…Feet barely touch the floor on the lowest setting…:) Still checking it all out…Just realized it’s ALL for her… Making music…
