Here we go!

Well, it has been more than a year since my last post...CRAZY! How time does fly! And time is about to go a little faster...when I want it to go slower! We are 5 hours away from placement! AAAAHHHH. :) We are soo excited, nervous, sad, happy...every possible emotion one could have. I can not even imagine what the birth parents are going thru at this moment. I am so happy for us but yet so sad for them. But they are giving us a gift that we can never find the words to share how gratefull we are. We will love this little peanut with every ounce of what we have!
Right now I am feeling sick to my stomach as the clock is going ever so slowly, but I am comforted by excitement and anticipation of this evening in our home with our daughter!!! AHHHHHHHH :) That sounds sooo funny!

We are so thankful that we were able to be at the hospital when Jessica had the baby. We were able to see her just an hour after her birth. It was a suriel experience to be in the room with complete strangers, and yet feel like we were welcomed to share such an intimate moment. We were able to visit with the birthgrandparents and get to know a little about them.
We got to spend some quality time with Dave and Jessica and the baby on Friday. We enjoyed getting to know them a little better. This journey is a gift...not one for everyone to experience and we are sooo grateful that we are the ones on it!
